Abstract: Abstract: Extensive spectrum antibiotics are being widely used in animal and poultry farms that
deal with food production for human consumption. Over the past few years, the poultry industry
in Kosovo has increased considerably. Given that the number of poultry farms in Kosovo is
constantly increasing, the need to prevent infectious bacterial infections in poultry has led to the
use of antibacterial preparations, in addition to the beneficial effects of combating these diseases,
also poses risks to public health . The Kosovo Food and Veterinary Agency has finalized peer
registrations in the country for the purpose of traceability of the disease. This based on the
Veterinary Law 21/2004 and the Administrative Instructions deriving from this Law - AI
26/2005, AI 14/2006, AI 07/2005, AI 26/2006, but also with the European Council COUNCIL
REGULATION (EEC) No 2377/90.
The purpose of this study was to confirm the presence of enroloxacin residues in egg samples
using the Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrometry method, after analyzing the two methods
of Laboratory Test Awards and Elisa Test performed at the Kosovo Food and Veterinary
Laboratory. Out of 180 samples of poultry eggs analyzed by two laboratory methods, we selected
10 samples to confirm the presence or absence of residues of Enrofloxacin in chicken eggs |
