Abstract:
This paper examines socio-economic effects of road Traffic Accident in Warri Metropolis, Delta State, Nigeria - A Nexus. A total of three hundred (300) questionnaires were administered to (motorists/drivers, health workers and commuters) respondents using mean (x) and standard deviation (SD) techniques. It is important that there is a clear understanding of the road accident problem and the likely effectiveness of road safety improvements. It is therefore, a priority for Nigeria to bare an appropriate accident information system and that they carry out research and evaluation studies of remedial measures. Therefore, there is need for Federal Road Authority (FRA) to re-introduce efforts to ensure massive road rehabilitation and maintenance in this part of the country. |
